We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Occupational Health and Safety to join our client's management team. Based near Cardiff, this is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of a leading chemicals company.

The company is experiencing significant growth, with a full order book for the next 3 years. This has led to increased investment in the site, making it an exciting time to join.

We are offering a competitive salary of £75,000 - £85,000+ bonus + pension, reflecting the importance of this role.

About the Job

The Head of Occupational Health and Safety will be responsible for developing and implementing effective health and safety strategies to protect employees and the environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development and implementation of health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Conducting regular risk assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation and industry standards.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, sciences, or occupational health and safety.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a hazardous process industry, with a proven track record of improving health and safety outcomes.
