Welfare Officer Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal skills to support the armed forces community in accessing medical welfare resources.

The St John and Red Cross Defence Medical Welfare Service is an international charity providing medical welfare support to the armed forces community for over 80 years. As a Welfare Officer, you will work in hospitals under University of Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust (QE) and Royal Centre for Defence Medicine (RCDM) Birmingham, supporting access to medical welfare resources on site at the hospital.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Armed Forces Community in accessing medical welfare resources.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community services.
Requirements:
  • Fully qualified driver with access to a vehicle.
