We are seeking a skilled APQP Project Engineer to join our global Supplier Manufacturing Engineering team. This role will be based on-site at our client's Derby location for three days a week, with the remainder spent remote working.

The successful candidate will be responsible for industrialisation processes from a quality perspective, delivering APQP activities across a range of suppliers and commodities or driving business-critical activities from a quality viewpoint.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Technical: Develop, implement, validate, maintain, and continuously improve quality processes and/or methods of manufacture in the supply chain to ensure capability to meet and continue to meet requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate, and lead-time.
  • Product Definition: Capture, analyse, and use data to demonstrate and improve the current and future capability of manufacturing processes and identification of improvement opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Proactively access internal and external networks of technical communities and functional teams, quality, design, and project engineering, to ensure fulfilment and realisation of the product intent.
  • Strategy: Identify and develop opportunities for new or improved quality processes and technologies to meet or exceed current or future requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Project Engineer implementing APQP frameworks, significant knowledge in Quality Management Systems - PPAP, APQP, and NPI, and experience with Net-Inspect.
