ENGINEERINGUK is seeking an Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Derby. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.

Job Description:

The role will involve managing industrialisation plans and cross-category oversight in accordance with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the enterprise knowledge, skills, and use of toolset (Net Inspect and Power BI), as well as ensuring compliance reporting.

This role requires collaboration with internal and external networks of technical communities and functional teams, including quality, design, and project engineering, to ensure fulfilment and realisation of industrialisation and cost programmes.

The Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer will also support and drive technical product cost reduction activities to ensure Category and Aerospace Procurement aligned targets are met. This includes engaging key communities to support idea generation, programme execution, resourcing, funding, and reporting.

In addition, the role involves providing support to ensure the success of existing and future technology programs within Procurement, acting as a key point of contact for internal category teams, and assisting with troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges as they arise.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering or other relevant discipline degree/HND/HNC and previous experience working in a manufacturing engineering role. Supply chain experience is preferable, ideally with experience of industrialisation and cost reduction programmes. Strong analytical skills and a proven record of using tools and techniques associated with industrialisation and cost reduction are essential.
