**About the Client**
A leading Public Sector organisation based in Ballymena provides a significant service in the local community. They are currently recruiting an experienced Payroll Officer.
**Ideal Candidate**
* Previous experience in payroll is essential
* Strong Excel skills
**Responsibilities**
As a Payroll Advisor, you will:
* Collect timesheets and other information related to payments
* Verify that all documentation received is properly authorised
* Input data from timesheets and other documentation
* Conduct checks to ensure accuracy of input
* Calculate and input payment details for staff with multiple posts and ensure costing is correct
* Calculate authorised manual payments, ensure accurate and timely posting, and ensure manual payments are subsequently recouped where appropriate
* Calculate and input sick pay and maternity pay in accordance with appropriate schemes and statutory regulations
* Calculate and input amounts for other college schemes, such as the Cycle to Work and Childcare Voucher Schemes
* Initiate and complete all documentation relating to terminations, such as P45 tax forms and pension forms where applicable
* Maintain personal employee records, including master data, and in relation to sickness and absences
