Customer-Focused Sales Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Sales Assistant to join our retail team in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the store's day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide top-notch customer service by greeting and assisting customers with product selection.
  • Offer expert product knowledge and advice to customers, ensuring they find the perfect products to meet their needs.
  • Operate the cash register and handle transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain the store's visual presentation and stock levels, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment for customers.
  • Assist with stock replenishment and inventory checks, ensuring the store is always well-stocked and ready for customers.
  • Ensure a clean and tidy store environment, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets set by the store management, driving sales growth and contributing to the store's success.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in retail or customer service is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm and composed under pressure.
  • Friendly, approachable, and customer-oriented attitude, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required by the store.
  • Basic IT skills for till and stock management systems, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technology.
