Job Summary:

We are seeking a senior Insurance Strategist to join our team, reporting into the Head of Insurance Strategy. As part of a global team, you will have responsibility for driving all business strategies to grow significant market share across the Insurance client segment in EMEA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business strategies to grow market share across the Insurance client segment in EMEA.
  • Work closely with Global Client Coverage colleagues to engage with Insurance clients on product needs, investment topics, and asset allocation ideas.
  • Develop thought leadership for Insurance companies in your region, working closely with colleagues globally where relevant.
  • Collaborate with portfolio management teams to maintain in-depth knowledge of fixed income markets and SSGA investment capabilities.
  • Support the provision of competitive intelligence for business leadership, partners, and other internal stakeholders on the insurance industry, ETFs, and buying behavior of competing investment solutions or ETF strategies applicable to the Insurance clients.
  • Develop marketing, servicing, and educational materials, including client presentations, white papers, and other thought leadership materials to become a leading investment partner for Insurance Companies.
  • Support with regulatory advocacy and keep abreast of industry, market, and company trends, to understand key concerns and opportunities for each line of business with Insurance Companies.

Requirements:

  • Deep expertise in Insurance regulatory landscape and experience in positioning investment solutions with Insurance clients.
  • Strong working partnerships with our partners, marketing, product, and investment teams, including planning for go-to-market strategies, research agendas, and client engagement tactics.
  • Ability to discuss cross-asset investment concepts, as well as have a considerable understanding of portfolio construction techniques, including trading implementation strategies.
  • Strong understanding of the benefits of the ETF structure and how it functions in the secondary and primary markets and its use cases relevant to Insurance clients.
  • Minimum 10 years of financial services experience.
  • Strong insights into Insurance regulatory regime requirements and impact of investment solutions.
  • Experience or ambition to deliver educational content.
  • Available for travel regionally as required.
  • Knowledge of Insurance market, ETF use cases, and applicability in Insurance company portfolios.
  • Additional European language skills are advantageous.
