About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk & Capital Analyst to join our team at esure Group. As a key member of our risk management function, you will play a critical role in supporting the Head of Risk & Capital on capital modelling, solvency capital requirements, risk analytics, and second-line oversight of financial risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Capital Modelling: Develop and update the capital model, providing output for business use.
  • Solvency Requirements: Assess and calculate Solvency Capital Requirements under the standard formula.
  • Own Risk & Solvency Assessment (ORSA): Support the ORSA process, including stress testing, scenario analysis, risk appetite, emerging risks, and annual reporting to Board-level committees.
  • Technical Risk Analytics: Provide regular and ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions on risk vs. reward and capital.
  • 2nd Line of Defence: Provide technical risk oversight and challenge of a financial nature.
Requirements
  • Capital Modelling Experience: Proven experience in capital modelling or coding.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial concepts and risk management.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively.
