Deputy Director of Operations and Performance

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Deputy Director of Operations and Performance to join our team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our paediatric services and contributing to the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compassionate care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Divisional Operational Manager in the provision of patient-centred care and a culture of continuous quality improvement.
- Work in partnership with clinical colleagues to ensure that activity, cancer, booking/choice, access (including relevant aspects of A&E) and quality targets are achieved, having regard for Trust policies and procedures, and to support the development of action plans to manage any variances.
- Monitor and co-ordinate the day-to-day implementation of Trust risk management and clinical governance policies and systems effectively, ensuring a proactive approach to reduction of clinical risk, clinical effectiveness, and a safe and healthy environment in line with the governance strategy.
We are looking for an individual with:
- Educated to degree level or Management Diploma or equivalent/significant experience in a managerial role.
- Post-graduate management qualification and/or equivalent level of knowledge gained through experience.
- Experience of reconfiguring/modernising patient services, including audit and continuous quality improvement.
