Job Opportunity:

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly skilled Principal Fire Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our fire engineering practice, you will be responsible for delivering fire safety solutions to clients across various sectors, including cities, commercial, energy, residential, and transportation.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement fire safety strategies for projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage multiple engineering projects from inception to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to develop the team and strengthen technical capabilities.
  • Assess fire-related risks and work with the team to mitigate them.
  • Review and comment on fire safety-related installations and ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review reports, lead fire engineering workshops, and develop client relationships.

Requirements:
  • Engineering degree in fire engineering or a related field, or a postgraduate qualification in fire engineering.
  • Experience in fire engineering, with a strong record of delivering fire safety projects.
  • Associate membership of the IFE, working towards full membership, and working towards Chartership.
  • Experience delivering projects involving ADB, BS9999, BS9991, BS9992, DIFs, MOJ, and BB100.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and have good commercial awareness.
