We are Uniper, a leading international energy company, and we are seeking an ambitious undergraduate to join our UK Trading IT Solutions team for a 48-52 week placement in Summer/Sept 2025.

As part of our Agile team, you will be responsible for delivering continuous change within a fast-paced business environment. Your primary objective will be to identify issues and opportunities to proactively deliver solutions to the business, working alongside industry experts in full trade lifecycle within short-term trading and optimization.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and technical skills, with a logical and structured approach to problem-solving. You will also possess strong organizational skills, with the ability to present complex topics targeted at various audiences.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that will help drive business growth and innovation. You will be aligned closely with our core IT strategy and will receive comprehensive training and development support to ensure your success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, shaping, cataloging, and implementing business and functional requirements
  • Documenting business requirements and current solutions with a view to implementing improvements in line with our IT strategy
  • Preparing cost estimates and project timelines for completing recommended solutions
  • Providing input into user education and implementation plans
  • Identifying process improvements in relation to specific projects/tasks

You will be expected to participate actively in architecture, data design, and review of the applications landscape, as well as incident management processes to improve quality. With a passion for continuous improvement, you will be instrumental in moving manual processes to a digital and automated setup.
