Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Full-Time Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the individual learning and behavioural needs of students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored educational support to students with special educational needs to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive and supportive educational environment tailored to each student's needs.
  • Aid the teacher in lesson preparation, classroom management, and the facilitation of engaging and effective lessons.
  • Assist in assessing and recording students' progress, providing valuable feedback to the teacher to inform instructional strategies.
  • Help maintain a supportive and encouraging classroom atmosphere that fosters student participation and confidence.
  • Assist in tracking the progress of students, providing regular feedback to teachers and contributing to individual education plans (IEPs).

Requirements:

  • Recent graduate with a degree in Education or a related field.
  • Prior experience working as a Full-Time Teaching Assistant in an SEN-based educational support role.
  • Experience in Behaviour Management is required.
  • Compassionate approach to helping students in an inclusive learning environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of special educational needs and effective teaching methodologies.
