About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join their team at a highly regarded SEN-based school in Weymouth. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide tailored educational support to students with special educational needs, helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the individual learning and behavioural needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive and supportive educational environment.
  • Assist in lesson preparation, classroom management, and the facilitation of engaging and effective lessons.
  • Assess and record students' progress, providing valuable feedback to the teacher to inform instructional strategies.
  • Help maintain a supportive and encouraging classroom atmosphere that fosters student participation and confidence.

Requirements:

  • Recent graduate with a degree in Education or a related field.
  • Prior experience working as a Full-Time Teaching Assistant in an SEN-based educational support role.
  • Experience in Behaviour Management is required.
  • Comprehensive understanding of special educational needs and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
