Teaching Role for Children with Complex Needs

We are seeking a skilled SEN teacher to join our team at an exceptional special school in Streatham, London.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of teaching primary-aged children with severe learning difficulties, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students by providing a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Create and implement tailored educational programs that meet the diverse needs of students.
  2. Collaborate with therapists and educational psychologists to ensure comprehensive support.
  3. Develop a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes social and emotional growth.
  4. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting approaches as needed to optimize outcomes.
  5. Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers to support student development.
  6. Lead a support team within the classroom to provide seamless support.
Requirements
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  2. Deep understanding of ASD/SLD and its impact on education.
  3. Experience working in a special needs education setting is preferred.
  4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships.

Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per year
