Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team as a Post 16 Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching students with ASD and SLD, with experience working in a special needs education setting.

The successful applicant will be responsible for creating individualized learning plans that focus on developing students' independence and understanding of how to access the local community and life skills. They will also work with parents and caregivers to support student development at home and in school.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement personalized lesson plans for students
  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere
  • Monitor and assess student progress
  • Engage with parents and caregivers
  • Work with local organizations to develop and integrate students into the local community

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of ASD and SLD students
  • Experience working in a special needs education setting

Salary: £52,000 - £62,000 per year, depending on experience
