Academic SEN Tutor Position

We are seeking an experienced SEN teacher to join our team at a reputable special needs school in East London. The ideal candidate will have recent UK experience working with ASD and SLD children, or be a primary trained teacher with a passion for SEN.
About the Role:
The successful applicant will teach a mixed KS3 class of 6 pupils with Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). The class follows the Early Years curriculum with a focus on developing social and communication skills. The teacher will work alongside two learning support assistants who know the children and school procedures.
Key Responsibilities:

• Work alongside two learning support assistants who know the children and school procedures
Requirements:
• Recent UK experience working with ASD and SLD children
• Primary trained teacher with a passion for SEN
• Some experience of PECS and Makaton would be advantageous, but training is available
Benefits:
This is a competitive daily rate position, inclusive of holiday pay at 12%. A strong self-belief and ability to use own initiative where required are essential.
