About the Job:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the University of Stirling's IT team as an Infrastructure Development Systems Expert. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining emerging cloud IT infrastructure and existing core on-premises systems.

About You:
We are looking for someone with experience in systems administration, both on premises and in a cloud platform. You should have proficiency in a scripting/programming language and a strong understanding of networking, both physical and virtual, with a solid understanding of network security. Experience with containerization and DevOps principles is also essential. As a skilled communicator, you will be able to work effectively in a team environment and convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

The Role:
- Collaborate with the Microsoft and Unix Team Leaders to design and develop emerging cloud IT infrastructure and existing core on-premises systems.
- Develop automation scripts and tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Troubleshoot complex system problems and recommend courses of action to be taken.
