Chef de Partie Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our team at a private school near Guildford, Surrey. The successful candidate will work on a full-time, term-time contract, with a good salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce and deliver high-quality food and service to pupils, staff, and visitors, within pre-agreed budgetary targets.
  • Collaborate with the Catering Manager and Head Chef to develop innovative and healthy food options, incorporating seasonal produce and suitable for the age range.
  • Minimise kitchen waste and ensure accurate cooking techniques to maintain production within budget.
  • Work with the Head Chef to create a three-week menu cycle, featuring varied and interesting dishes.
  • Ensure all dishes meet quality and attractiveness standards before serving.

Requirements:

  • Active chef with experience in cooking for various services.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Chef and Catering Manager.
  • Proactive approach to recording and minimising kitchen waste.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday: 7am-3pm, Weekends: 11am-7pm, with a 2-on, 1-off, then 2-on, 2-off pattern.
