Executive Chef Assistant

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Executive Chef Assistant to join our team at Young's.
  • The successful candidate will have a passion for producing high-quality food and a strong work ethic.
  • As an Executive Chef Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
  • You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations, and contributing to the overall success of the kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard, using fresh and seasonal ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the kitchen team, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve goals.
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Commis Chef or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
