Key Responsibilities:

  • Process standard requisitions accurately and efficiently, adhering to approved procedures.
  • Remove specimens from transport bags, enter patient, client, and specimen data, label specimens, and aliquot as needed.
  • Sort specimens for distribution throughout the lab, ensuring timely turnaround times.
  • Comply with appropriate specimen storage requirements and maintain inventory of specimens after testing.
  • Retrieve and prepare add-ons and rechecks, adhering to quality control guidelines.
  • Read, understand, and follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform all required quality control per QA guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:

  • Proven laboratory experience, ideally within a veterinary or clinical setting.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math, interpretive, and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong data processing skills.
