About the Role:
Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust seeks a skilled Senior Administrator to join our Respiratory department at Scunthorpe General Hospital. This part-time position offers flexible working arrangements, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for administrative issues related to patient care pathways. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless patient care from referral to treatment. Your expertise in proactive pathway management will enable efficient communication with patients, clinicians, and other stakeholders. We expect you to possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and log referrals, including paper and Choose and Book, according to Trust Access Policy and specialty SOP.
  • Evaluate diagnostic and investigation requirements for each patient's pathway, ensuring timely completion before clinic days.
  • Maintain accurate records of clinic outcomes on PAS, including offsite clinics.
  • Lead the completion of clinic cancellation forms and process them in accordance with established SOPs.
  • Reschedule outpatient clinics as needed, aligning with waiting time targets.
  • Utilize the Trust's medical transcription system to ensure urgent letters are processed promptly.
  • Liaise with patient records staff, ward clerks, and other organizations to provide access to medical notes, referral letters, results, and discharge summaries for outpatient appointments and consultations.
