Job Title: Locum Consultant in Respiratory Medicine

Medacs Healthcare is seeking an experienced Consultant in Respiratory Medicine to join our team on a locum basis at Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of the acute medical workforce, you will provide expert care to patients with complex respiratory conditions, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide diagnostic reasoning and acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) expertise
  • Support junior doctors and trainees in clinical and educational settings
  • Develop, improve, and expand general service and acute medical provision within admissions, out-patients, and intensive care
  • Work collaboratively with a dynamic team of Consultants to improve care, flow, and capacity
Requirements:
  • GMC registered Doctor (no need to be on the Specialist Register)
  • Relevant experience at Consultant level or references to support transition to Consultant level
  • Hold evidence of stand-alone Right to Work in the UK (Medacs cannot offer visa sponsorship)
  • Pass an enhanced background check (DBS)
