Principal Environmental Engineer

Thames Water is seeking a highly skilled Principal Environmental Engineer to play a pivotal role in achieving our ambitious environmental goals. As a key member of our industry-leading environmental engineering team, you will drive environmental impact reduction, green solutions implementation, and regulatory compliance in engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical input into project definition briefs.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering-based regulatory requirements from an environmental perspective.
  • Support the establishment of a 'Centre of Excellence' for engineering.
  • Lead the development of a cohesive, sustainable engineering structure from graduate to industry experts.

Requirements:

  • Degree level in engineering or other appropriate technical qualifications in an engineering discipline.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory environment to achieve compliance.
  • Passion for continuous improvement, environmental challenges, and sustainable development.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary from £61,000 to £70,000 per annum.
  • Car allowance of £5800 per annum.
  • 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service.
