Wood is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to join our Technical HSE Team in Reading.

The successful candidate will be a member of the Design HSE Group within the Engineering Department, reporting to the Group Manager Design HSE.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Technical competence in core Environmental Engineering subject areas, notably; Emissions Quantification, Dispersion Modelling, Best Available Technology (BAT) Analysis, Risk Assessments, Working knowledge of applicable international standards
  • Experience in the application of Environmental Engineering within a design setting likely to include the following: Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Refining, LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas), Carbon Capture/ Hydrogen Production
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, ability to manage own work and the work of others, plus a strong customer focus and team-working skills

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in Environmental Engineering or Sustainability
  • Experience of working in the process industry and energy, oil and gas, refining and petrochemical sectors
  • Leadership skills and experience
