Red 5 People is seeking an experienced Education Specialist Financial Literacy to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a teaching qualification and a passion for creating engaging course content around financial literacy for learners with learning disabilities. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities, focusing on essential topics such as budgeting, accessing banking services, managing debt, avoiding scams, and financial exploitation.

The project timeline spans 12 months, divided into three phases: fact-finding and research (Months 1–5), testing the content with learners (Months 4–7), and delivering the content (Months 7–12). During this time, the charity expects the successful candidate to spend 1–2 days per week on-site, primarily in London or Manchester, with travel expenses covered and occasional overnight stays possible.

This role is perfect for someone with a teaching background or a newly qualified teacher. While experience working with learning disabilities is desirable, it's not essential. The salary for this position is approximately £35,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
