NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles.

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This is a part-time post of 7.4 hours per week with a salary estimate of £11.00-£20.41 per hour (Pro Rata for part-time hours).

You could work as part of a multi-disciplinary team committed to improving the health of people with diabetes across Glasgow.

The NHSGGC Adult Acute Dietetic service seeks to recruit a dietitian for a permanent part-time post to work within the specialist area of diabetes.

As an integrated member of the specialist Dietetic Diabetes Team, you would provide a clinical service in outpatient clinics for people living with diabetes in the West & South Glasgow area.

You will work closely with the multi-disciplinary diabetes team, taking a proactive approach in the clinical care of patients, service improvement, and pathway development.

The GGC Adult Acute Dietetic Service promotes collaborative working across all teams in different settings and specialities.

This enables and encourages the development and implementation of pathways, standards, and innovative practice, allowing for extensive peer support and opportunities for professional development.

In addition to contributing to the clinical care of patients, you will also contribute to developing students' clinical skills during their dietetic practice placements in Scotland.

To be successful in this role, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to demonstrate good team working, as well as being able to work autonomously, are required.

Applicants should have previous experience of diabetes and meet the following qualifications:

  • BSc Dietetics qualification
  • Registration with Health Care Professions Council
  • Membership of British Dietetic Association
  • PVG membership scheme/Disclosure Scotland
