Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Chemotherapy Nurse to join our client, a nationally recognized specialist provider of Cancer Care, in Edinburgh, Scotland.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with experience in oncology or palliative care to deliver vital oncology treatments in patients' homes. As a Community Chemotherapy Nurse, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care, assess patients' needs, and develop individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver chemotherapy treatments to patients in their homes, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, addressing physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' requirements and develop tailored care plans, promoting optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to manage their conditions effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to clinical governance standards.
Requirements
  • Registered nurse with a valid nursing license, preferably with experience in oncology or palliative care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Knowledge of cancer care and treatment options, staying updated on best practices and guidelines.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package including pension scheme, life insurance, and opportunities for professional development.
