About the Role

Kennedys is seeking an experienced Litigation Specialist to join our Disease team in Sheffield, Manchester, or Leeds offices. As a key member of our team, you will assist Partners with defendant Disease related claims, working on a high-quality caseload for various clients on defendant personal injury work.

Our Team

We are a national practice that provides personal injury claims services from seven office locations across the UK. Our team handles complex and high-profile cases, led by experienced Partners recognized as market leaders in this sector. We are often instructed on UK cases requiring cross-border quantum investigations via our international offices.

We focus on working in partnership with our clients, delivering modern solutions, including our in-house R&D capability and award-winning product suite of technological and process innovations. Our goal is to provide exceptional results while avoiding unnecessary lawyering.

We work with a variety of clients, including:

  • Insurers
  • Corporates
  • Third-Party Administrators (TPAs)
  • Brokers

Types of Cases

We handle a range of cases, including:

  • Asbestos
  • Nervous Injury Hearing Loss (NIHL)
  • Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS)
  • Some Employer's Liability/Personal Injury (EL/PL) cases

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 3-5+ years' experience of defendant personal injury claims gained within a law firm
  • A track record of capably handling a caseload of fast-track and DCP claims
  • Experience of client contact
  • Experience of supervising junior lawyers
  • Experience of providing client training and writing articles and bulletins
  • Defendant disease litigation work experience
