The Church of England is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Library Assistant to support the vision and mission of the Library by assisting with the collection and providing excellent reader services.
Key Responsibilities- Collection Support: Assist with the cataloging and classification of a range of printed books, including rare books and complex modern material.
- Reader Services: Welcome and support visitors to the Library, answering their enquiries and advising readers on sources in the Library.
- Visitor Supervision: Supervise visitors to the Library, including researchers, maintenance contractors, and tour groups.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to deal politely and efficiently with members of the public.
Requirements- Demonstrable commitment to a career in library work
- Experience of working in a public service environment
