Job Title: Library Assistant

We are seeking a part-time Library Assistant to join our team at Senate House Library, the central library for the University of London. As a Library Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the library's collections and providing excellent customer service to our users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shelving and tidying library materials as required
  • Assisting in moving loaded trolleys to designated areas
  • Supporting general print collection management activities
  • Handling basic enquiries from library users
  • Assisting the Customer Services team in delivering customer-facing services

Requirements:

  • Methodical approach to work with excellent attention to detail
  • Approachable, friendly, and helpful manner when interacting with library users
  • Ability to work well as part of a small team
  • Flexibility to work 15 hours per week, broken down into 3 continuous hours per day, Monday to Friday
