Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced social worker to join our Child in Need Team in Plymouth. This role offers an immediate start and on-going contract, with a competitive hourly rate of £48. You will work closely with our team to provide expert care and support to vulnerable individuals and families.

Responsibilities and Duties
This position entails assessing and managing cases related to child protection, conducting thorough investigations, and developing effective intervention plans. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting assessments and investigations into allegations of child abuse or neglect
2. Developing and implementing intervention plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children
3. Collaborating with other agencies and professionals to provide comprehensive support services
4. Maintaining accurate records and reporting progress to relevant authorities

Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
• A recognized qualification in social work (e.g., BSc or BA in Social Work)
• At least 2 years of post-qualified experience in frontline children's teams, preferably in child protection and assessment roles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in using computer software applications, particularly those used in social work practice
