Job Description: Care and Support Specialist

Estimated Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum

Optalis is a leading provider of adult social care services, and we are currently seeking a Care and Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Short Term Assessment and Support Team (START), you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to vulnerable adults in their own homes and within the community.

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is committed to delivering exceptional care and making a positive impact on people's lives. As a Care and Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing reablement care and support to service users, working closely with START colleagues and other professionals to deliver effective care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver reablement care and support to service users in their own homes and within the community
  • Collaborate with START colleagues and other professionals to develop and implement effective care plans
  • Assist service users with daily living tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, shopping, and collecting pensions
  • Support service users in preparing meals and drinks, helping them regain skills required for independent living
  • Contribute to the supervision of particularly vulnerable service users and be aware of emergency procedures

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate individual who is willing to undertake regular training as required by the START team. Experience of working with vulnerable adults and in a community-based role is highly desirable.
