Job Summary:
Falmouth Fairfax is seeking a highly skilled Defects and Aftercare Manager to join our team. As a key member of our residential portfolio management team, you will be responsible for overseeing and resolving serious defects across our single-family PRS portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the development partners' aftercare teams and appoint and manage consultant teams (EA/Clerk of Works) during the defect rectification period.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with property management, consultants, facilities, and operational teams, project, and asset managers.
- Collaborate with the head of projects to ensure seamless defect resolution and aftercare services.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the overall quality of our residential portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices.
Requirements:
- HND/NVQ in Construction or Surveying preferred and MCIOB desirable.
- Proven experience in residential projects, overseeing post-build defects, snagging, and small project work.
- Strong negotiation and procurement skills, with experience in specifying and managing consultant and contractor teams.
- Excellent customer care and relationship-building abilities.
- Knowledge of JCT contracts, building regulations (CDM), and health and safety protocols.
