We are Academics Ltd, a Specialist School just outside of Banbury, offering a unique opportunity for a recent Psychology or Criminology graduate to join our support team. As a Mental Health Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping students cope with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

You will work closely with experienced staff members to provide educational support, manage challenging behaviors, and develop strategies to promote mental well-being. This is an ideal role for graduates interested in becoming trained Psychologists in the future.

To succeed in this role, you will require excellent communication skills, a passion for mental health, and previous experience working with children and/or adults with additional needs would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide educational support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs
  • Manage challenging behaviors and develop strategies to promote mental well-being
  • Collaborate with experienced staff members to identify potential triggers for trauma and mental health needs
