Pay and Reward Policy Advisor

Estimated salary: £32,000 - £50,000 per annum

About the Job
We are looking for an experienced Pay and Reward Policy Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our HR function, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on pay policy and its application to managers and People Business Partners.

Main Responsibilities
* Providing proactive advice on pay policy and its application to managers and People Business Partners
* Contributing to the development and review of pay policies, engaging with senior management and trade unions on pay-related discussions
* Preparing financial reports and analysing people data to inform pay strategies and support projects like gender pay gap reporting and equal pay audits
* Ensuring fairness in pay practices, with a focus on equal pay and legislative compliance

The Ideal Candidate
* Has a passion for people, fairness, and data
* Possesses excellent document drafting skills to communicate complex pay policies clearly and effectively
* Has strong data literacy skills to interpret numerical data and present it both verbally and in writing
* Has previous experience in a Pay and Reward or HR operational function is essential, with CIPD Level 3/5 qualifications desirable but not essential
* Has attention to detail to spot inaccuracies and ensure accuracy in pay calculations and reports
* Understands pay equality and is committed to promoting fair and consistent policy application
