About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our integrated stroke team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with stroke-related conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist occupational therapy services to patients with stroke-related conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patients' needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement effective interventions to promote patients' independence and functional abilities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
Requirements
  • Registered Occupational Therapist with a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Proven experience in providing occupational therapy services to patients with stroke-related conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines.
