Job Title: Transport Planner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling transportation operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize transportation activities to meet customer requirements and ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with Transport Managers to optimize transportation operations and improve efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to add value to existing contracts and develop strategies to implement them.
  • Liaise with the warehouse team to ensure trailers and vehicles are available when required.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers regarding transportation operations.
  • Ensure vehicle activity is planned in the most efficient manner to meet customer expectations.
  • Meet daily revenue targets per shift per vehicle.
  • Update and monitor the TMS system to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including maintaining personal hygiene and wearing uniform and PPE at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the transportation and logistics industry.
  • Good understanding of legal compliance, driver's hours, and WTDs.
  • Leadership skills and ability to lead successful change.
  • Proven experience in customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • IT literacy, including MS Office, and strong analytical ability to review data and reports.
