Job Title: Residential Support Professional

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residential Support Professional to join our team at Autism Unlimited. As a Residential Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with complex needs, providing a safe and nurturing environment that promotes independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2:1 support to the individual, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the individual, understanding their preferences, interests, and communication styles.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Support the individual in developing life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and time management.
  • Collaborate with the support team to ensure a smooth transition to adulthood, promoting independence and self-advocacy.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with the individual and their support network.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the individual's needs.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
