We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Residential Support Specialist to join our team in New Milton. You will play a vital role in supporting Sonny, a young man with ASD who resides in our welcoming Victorian-style home.

About the Role

Sonny is partially verbal and communicates through a combination of speech, body language, gestures, and picture exchange systems (PECS). • Embarking on forest walks at Moors Valley Country Park
Responsibilities

As a Residential Support Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personalized care and support to Sonny, assisting with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, bathing, and medication administration.
  • Implementing his individualized support plan, ensuring his well-being and happiness while adapting to any changes in behavior.
  • Sharing your knowledge and skills to empower Sonny and promote his independence.
  • Maintaining accurate records of care plans, finances, appointments, and medication.
Qualifications

We are seeking a dedicated individual with:

  • Previous experience working in complex care settings.
  • A warm, engaging, patient, and empathetic personality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
