About Us

Oxfordshire County Council's Supported Transport Service is a vital component of our community, providing transportation for over 12,000 vulnerable individuals daily. Our fleet consists of approximately 750 vehicles, including coaches, taxis, and minibuses, serving over 100 schools and social care establishments.

This is an exciting time to join our team, with the council investing in a new Independent Travel Training Programme. This initiative supports children and young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities to increase their independence in preparation for adulthood. We are also pioneering real-time information for school transport contracts and promoting active travel across our service.

About the Role

This role is primarily focused on allocating children and vulnerable adults to contracted coaches, minibuses, and taxis. We also offer direct travel payments to parents or season tickets on the public bus service. The successful candidate will have a strong customer focus, dealing with contractors, schools, social care establishments, and passengers and families involved, many of whom are vulnerable.

This role will be agile, with a main base in County Hall, Oxford.
