Job Description

Job Title: Clinical Lead Physiotherapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Physiotherapist to join our Mental Health Physiotherapy team at Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Lead Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and coordination of the daily running of the team to ensure a safe and efficient service is delivered.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to improve mental and physical health and empowering service users through multidisciplinary care plans to optimise their health and independence
  • Reviewing NICE guidance and Standard Operating Procedures for the service areas covered
  • Providing clinical supervision as required
  • Ensuring clinical targets are met and undertaking audits
  • Undertaking complex risk assessments and working as a member of the multidisciplinary team
  • Supporting staff and students offering learning experiences
  • Working in partnership and liaising with professionals and external organisations to improve services
  • Working flexibly as part of the team to ensure the needs of service users, carers, and staff are met

Requirements:

  • Chartered HPCP Physiotherapist
  • Post-graduate training or equivalent experience in mental health
  • Management certificate

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Highly specialist experience at Band 6
  • Clinical educator
  • Provides clinical supervision
  • Experience of falls prevention

Contract: Permanent
