First Task is delighted to collaborate with a reputable contractor that specializes in delivering major power transmission and distribution projects across Scotland. The company has an excellent track record of delivering large-scale projects, with values ranging from £10m to £1bn.

The contractor is currently seeking a Civils biased Project Engineer for the delivery of a significant transmission line upgrade in the Scottish Highlands. This project presents an exceptional opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage site engineering tasks, including roadworks, trenching, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), backfilling, and site restoration for cable projects.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and teams to align civil works with project goals and objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and key milestones to stakeholders, ensuring effective project management.
Requirements
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or relevant experience in Utilities/Construction.
  • Knowledge of budgets, financial control, and commercial practices.
  • Familiarity with Project Management methodologies and principles.
  • A valid UK Driving Licence with flexibility to travel for project-related activities.

The estimated salary for this role is approximately £63,000 per annum, depending on experience.
