Transportation Engineering Inspector

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Transportation Engineering Inspector to join our team.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a major Design and Build project with an estimated tender value of £186 million and completion of the main dualling works by early 2028.
The successful candidate will have relevant experience as a highways or structures inspector in a similar role on major transport infrastructure schemes.
The Salary for this position is approximately £80,000 - £100,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
The Specification for Highways Works requires a thorough knowledge and understanding of the requirements. The candidate should also be competent with ITS systems and able to learn relevant software needed to perform the role.
Job Description:
As a Transportation Engineering Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting the construction site and ensuring that the work is done according to the contract specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant experience as a highways or structures inspector in a similar role on major transport infrastructure schemes.
- Extensive experience in supervising contractors' activities and monitoring contractors' compliance with the scope of the contract.
- Understanding of the works information and ability to identify and record contractor's compliance with the works information.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Specification for Highways Works.
- Competence with ITS systems and able to learn relevant software needed to perform the role.
