Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Substations Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of engineering projects in the substations sector. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the delivery of engineering projects in the substations sector, including design, procurement, construction and commissioning.
  • Lead the engineering team in the development of electrical design solutions for substations projects.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure that engineering solutions meet the needs of stakeholders and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Manage and mentor junior engineering staff to help them develop their skills and expertise.
Requirements
  • BSc., BEng. or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • IEng or CEng chartership status desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in substations engineering, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
