SSEN Transmission, a leading player in the high-voltage electricity transmission network across Scotland, seeks a highly skilled Civil Engineering Specialist to join our multi-disciplined Project Engineering team.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering innovative solutions to high voltage electrical substation projects, contributing to the UK's Net-Zero targets and promoting the growth of renewable generation potential in the North of Scotland.

About the Role:
  • Civil Engineering Design and Delivery: Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering works on assigned projects, operating up to 400kV.
  • Safety Management: Implement CDM procedures and safety in design to promote a safe working environment.
  • Technical Input and Collaboration: Provide technical expertise and interface with other teams to ensure a coordinated approach to project delivery and identification of key risks.
  • Scope Definition and Budget Management: Define project scope and manage budgets for embedded engineering consultants and project-driven consultancy services.
About You:
  • Degree in Engineering Discipline: Hold a degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (CEng or working towards it).
  • Industry Experience: Possess knowledge and experience in energy or electricity network industries (preferable).
