We are seeking a skilled Claims Handler to join our team at GB - Global. As a Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of public and employers' liability claims for local government clients.
Your primary focus will be on handling claims from first notification to settlement, ensuring timely and accurate processing. You will assess liability, fraud, and quantum, making informed decisions based on available evidence and policy terms.
You will also oversee claims through litigation, working closely with legal teams to ensure effective case management. Effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, brokers, suppliers, claimants, and their representatives, is crucial in this role.
We are looking for enthusiastic, proactive, and experienced claims handlers to join our team. Maintaining client relationships is a key part of our operation, and you may be required to attend meetings via video conferencing.
About You- You have a good understanding of proactive claims handling and insurance principles.
- You have experience handling public and employers' liability claims up to a value of £25,000 without referral.
- You are confident in progressing to handling claims exceeding £25,000 under authority.
- You have a working knowledge and experience of handling MOJ Portal Claims.
- You possess excellent customer service skills and good attention to detail.
- Experience in handling larger losses and failure to remove and/or police claims would be preferable.
- You are eligible to work in the UK.
