About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mental Health Liaison Practitioner to join our dedicated team at the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston. As a key member of our Mental Health Liaison team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals presenting to the acute hospital with mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective risk assessment and risk management to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
  • Work closely with acute hospital colleagues to create a proactive interface between mental health and acute services.
  • Support individuals presenting to the acute hospital with mental health issues, including those with new or ongoing mental health difficulties and illness.
  • Contribute to timely and supportive discharge planning to ensure patients receive the necessary support and care.
Requirements
  • Nursing degree or equivalent, DIP OT, Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year experience at B6.
  • Competent assessment skills.
  • Competent in cognitive assessments.
