About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Baxter's Northampton National Distribution Center. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of medication dispensing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify the accuracy of medication orders, prescriptions, and ancillary items before dispatch to patients.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and guidelines issued by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS).
  • Train and advise stakeholders on pharmacy and legal requirements, supervise pharmacy checkers, warehouse pickers, and loaders.
  • Ensure all POM and P medicines are 100% checked for accuracy in product code, product description, batch, expiry date, and quantity required.
  • Record and correct errors, apply patient labels correctly, and work under the guidance of SOPs and GPhC/RPS standards.
  • Provide advice on medicines and processes to patients, prescribers, and Baxter employees.
  • Investigate, manage, and report complaints and ensure FMD requirements are met at all stages.
Requirements
  • Masters' Degree in Pharmacy (MPharm)
  • Membership of GPhC
  • Proven experience in supervising staff
  • Expert knowledge of good dispensing and distribution practice
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent verbal, numeric, and written communication skills
