Job Summary

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of the Advocating for Education and Quality Improvement model (AEQUIP) within our organisation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, delivering, and embedding Restorative Clinical Supervision (RCS) in collaboration with other Professional Midwifery Advocates and clinical teams.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of diverse ethnic, cultural, and spiritual backgrounds and needs of patients, members of the public, and staff.
  • Act as a role model in promoting psychological safety and situational awareness in your practice.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to develop and improve services, delivering safe, compassionate care through regular RCS.
  • Support the supervision, development, and coaching of individual staff to ensure they function effectively within their role and responsibilities.
  • Lead on the development of teaching resources and deliver programmes to promote a learning environment.
  • Contribute to the content of and lead on the design of documents and teaching aids.
  • Provide reports regarding AEQUIP deployment as requested and present in forums as required.
  • Collate audit data to report on activity, compliance, and effectiveness.

Person Specification
  • Registered Midwife on the NMC register.
  • Teaching qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of post-registration CPD / Post-registration qualification in an appropriate area of speciality or professional knowledge supplemented by specialist experience and short courses to masters level equivalent.
  • Evidence of completion of degree-level study (level 6).
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
