Sales Engineer Leader

The Senior Sales Engineer at Flowserve will play a pivotal role in maintaining and developing relationships with key customers and trade organisations in North East England. As the primary contact for all customer-related technical assistance, product support, and promotion of company products and services, this individual must possess excellent communication skills, a keen understanding of Flowserve operations, and the ability to enhance selling effectiveness by coordinating efforts with internal and external selling channel partners.
A high level of technical expertise is required to diagnose and solve complex problems, while also promoting sales of new pumps, seals, and service and repair work to existing and new customers. This involves analysing customers' needs, identifying potential new opportunities, and driving bookings levels to meet or exceed assigned targets.
The ideal candidate will have minimum 5 years' experience with rotating equipment, sales experience with rotating equipment such as pumps and mechanical seals, and be proficient in technology like Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint. Trade or engineering qualifications are preferred, and excellent reputation in delivering and maintaining high-level customer satisfaction is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote sales of new pumps, seals, and related equipment to existing and new customers.
- Analyse customers' needs and identify potential new opportunities.
- Drive bookings levels to meet or exceed assigned targets.
- Maintain regular, planned communication with key customers to ensure the appropriate level of service is maintained.
- Develop and implement marketing plans aligned with regional sales objectives.
- Serve as the primary contact for all business dealings, ensuring customer concerns are addressed promptly.
- Educate customers on the quality, features, and uses of our products through marketing materials.
- Collaborate with application engineers, customer service, and manufacturing to meet customers' needs.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience with rotating equipment.
- Sales experience with rotating equipment such as pumps and mechanical seals.
- Proficient in technology like Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Trade or engineering qualifications preferred.
- Excellent reputation in delivering and maintaining high-level customer satisfaction.
